AVTOMATIKA-VEKTOR and SEVLESPIL signed a contract to replace the automated control system and software for the ARI sawmill line. The scope of delivery includes the main control panel, VECTOR-3D scanner, controllers, variable frequency drive, some sensors.
There were several prerequisites for this:
- Under the sanctions, some equipment has become unavailable for order, or the possibility of supplying the original product has become obscenely long or expensive.
- Technical support for software from Western developers is no longer possible. Any software or automation failure can lead to a serious and long stop of the line.
- During the sawmill line operation (about 10 years), some of the solutions included in the initial project have become questionable or simply outdated and now look not only "out-of-fashion", but also unconvenient and non-optimal.
