At a sawmill in the Irkutsk region Avtomatika-Vektor put into operation a band saw machine manufactured by Mendes Maquinas (Brazil). The machine, installed as a second row, is designed for cutting half-timber into center boards. As part of the project, the software for the programmable logic controller (PLC) and personal computer (PC) was updated. The installation of the machine reduced the number of log passes, increasing line productivity.
