AVTOMATIKA-VEKTOR modernized the edger control system at the KirenskLesInvest enterprise in Irkutsk oblast.
The exhisting electrical equipment of the machine was used to the maximum; only part of the control system was replaced: wane scanner, PC, controller and servo amplifier. The system developed by our IT-specialists allows one to collect a detailed cross-section profile to calculate board geometric parameters: length, width and wane and, based on these data, generates a command to trim the board edges, based on the criterion of optimality in terms of cost or maximum area of the clean surface.
